Carolyn M. Strautman

Carolyn M. Strautman is the sole partner of Strautman Estate Law, which was formerly known as Kerst & Strautman P.C.  Ms. Strautman practiced with her late partner, Dan Kerst, from 2012 until his death in 2015, and previously from 1996 through 2003 in the firm of Schenk, Kerst & deWinter LLP.

Since 1996, Ms. Strautman has focused her practice on the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and business formation. A local graduate of Glenwood Springs High School, Ms. Strautman obtained her B.A. degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton, with highest honors, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law in 1994, where she was elected to the Order of St. Ives. Ms. Strautman is admitted to practice in all Colorado courts, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Section, and the 9th Judicial District Bar Association. Ms. Strautman currently serves on the Red Mountain Cross Preservation Association Board.

Ms. Strautman lives with her husband, Eric, and children in Glenwood Springs.  In her free time, Ms. Strautman enjoys tennis, hiking, skiing and playing Mahjong with friends.
